Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has called on authorities in south-central Binh Dinh province and relevant ministries and localities to promptly plan and begin construction of the Quy Nhon - Pleiku Expressway project connecting Binh Dinh, Gia Lai, and Kon Tum provinces.
At a working session with local authorities on February 5, the Prime Minister said the project will be implemented under the public-private partnership (PPP) model with management and guidance from the Ministry of Transport. It will link the central highlands with the south-central region and certain sections of the North-South Expressway, helping create a strategic breakthrough in infrastructure.
Binh Dinh recorded gross regional domestic product (GRDP) growth of 8.57 per cent last year and export revenue of $1.55 billion.
