Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has asked authorities in northern Cao Bang province to take effective action, especially in investment in and the development of strategic infrastructure, to post higher economic results this year.
It should promote trade and service development, focus on digital transformation, develop e-commerce, launch administrative reform efforts, and work on education and training to improve the quality of its human resources, he told a working session with provincial authorities on January 16.
The Prime Minister directed it to promote trade and service development with China, develop agricultural production and mineral processing, and invest in tourism development.
Cao Bang province posted growth of 5.04 per cent last year, with trade revenue at nearly $885 million, up 11 per cent year-on-year.
It welcomed 1.1 million tourists, up 165 per cent against 2021.
