Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has requested relevant ministries, agencies and localities to urgently support farmers, producers and enterprises affected by Typhoon Yagi and its subsequent floods to promote the recovery of agro-forestry and fishery production.
In an official dispatch issued on October 18, PM Chinh asked authorities of affected localities to promptly implemented policies to support affected people and businesses to help them have enough capital to restore production and trade.
They also need to keep a close watch on market developments, and join hands with competent agencies to implement price control solutions to prevent speculation, hoarding and market manipulation, according to the dispatch.
The Government leader required for measures to boost the recovery of agricultural production and stabilize people’s lives to fulfill the growth targets set by the agricultural sector for 2024 - 2025.
He assigned the Ministry of Agricultural and Rural Development to send experts and officers to each households and production establishments affected by the typhoon to give direct instruction on recovery measures.
The ministry was instructed to enhance cooperation and connectivity between localities, production facilities, and suppliers of seedlings, food, environmental treatment products, equipment and agricultural inputs and those suffer damage from the typhoon to help them in their disaster relief efforts.
