Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has issued a dispatch asking relevant ministries and agencies to enhance the management of credit growth to serve economic development, the Government News has reported.
He asked the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) to focus on managing monetary policy in a proactive, flexible, timely, effective, feasible, and scientific manner in line with actual conditions to prevent wrongdoings and corruption in credit.
The central bank was also instructed to ensure the provision of credit to serve the economy and ensure the safety of credit institutions.
It was directed to increase inspections, supervision, and examinations to ensure credit is allocated to prioritized and important areas such as consumption, exports and investment, and serve the production and trade activities of businesses.
The Prime Minister also asked for measures to ensure credit grows in 2024.
