Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has decided to establish a steering committee of wastefulness prevention and control.

The committee is chaired by the Government leader.

The committee is an inter-agency coordinating body tasked with assisting the PM in directing and coordinating solutions for important matters related to combating wastefulness.

The committee is also responsible for advising the PM on strategies, policies, and solutions for implementing the national strategy on anti-wastefulness, the Government's comprehensive program on thrift practice and anti-wastefulness, and other significant initiatives to prevent wasteful use of economic resources.

It also assists the PM in directing relevant ministries and agencies in dealing with key issues related to anti-wastefulness activities.
