Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has suggested that northern Hoa Binh province prepare essential infrastructure in transport, industrial parks, information, and human resources while also perfecting institutions and laws and improving the business and investment environment to attract more investors.

He made the suggestions while chairing a conference on investment promotion in Hoa Binh on February 26.

The province should mobilize and effectively make use of all resources, with priority given to the development of strategic transport infrastructure to link Hoa Binh with other localities and other countries, the Prime Minister said.

Measures are also needed to help businesses tackle difficulties and obstacles while speeding up the research, application, and transfer of advanced science and technology and promoting startups and innovation, particularly in the field of high technology and the digital economy, he said.

He added that the government will guide relevant ministries and sectors on identifying appropriate policies, creating the conditions for mobilizing resources, improving the business and investment environment, and tapping cooperation and support from donors and domestic and foreign investors for further development.

Provincial authorities presented 15 investment licenses with capital of nearly VND48 trillion ($2 billion) at the conference. Projects are in tourism, food processing, cement production, industrial park infrastructure, and urban development.
