Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh inspected the construction of a section of Ho Chi Minh City’s Ring Road No. 3 passing through the Mekong Delta’s Long An province on July 25, the Government News reported.

The project also passes through Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai and Binh Duong provinces at a total length of more than 76 km. Construction will cost over VND75 trillion ($3.21 billion), and the link is expected to open to traffic from 2026.

The section in Long An province is 6.84 km, with total investment estimated at over VND4.2 trillion ($177 million).

Construction of Ring Road No. 3 will connect localities in the Southern Key Economic Zone and build a network of modern and sustainable urban areas, contributing to national socio-economic development.

Prime Minister Chinh asked authorities in Long An to soon complete site clearance and resettlement for the project.

He also asked contractors to take measures to ensure progress and quality.
