Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has asked relevant ministries and agencies to resolutely remove unnecessary administrative procedures for individuals and businesses and not to issue additional legal documents that create difficulties and increase compliance costs.

Chairing a meeting of the government’s steering committee for administrative reform, held on July 19 to review tasks in the first half of the year, Prime Minister Chinh also asked them to continue reviewing and taking action to ensure individuals and businesses can quickly handle administrative procedures and other requirement while saving time and money, and to prevent bureaucracy, corruption, and other negative phenomena.

Focus should be placed on issues relating to the concerns of the people and businesses, such as land, taxes, fees, imports and exports, customs, and credit, he said.

The Prime Minister approved the abolition of 47 business regulations in the first half of the year, while ministries cut 210 others.
