Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh issued a dispatch on January 9 seeking measures to remove difficulties and obstacles relating to construction price management and the supply of construction materials to accelerate key national transport projects.
Speeding up construction of key national transport projects contributes to fulling socio-economic development targets, the Prime Minister said.
He asked the Ministry of Construction to guide relevant agencies on reviewing, supplementing, and amending regulations on construction cost management in line with actual circumstances and project feasibility. The ministry will report on the results to the Prime Minister in March.
The Ministry of Transport was asked to supervise and review demand for construction materials for project leveling, to ensure sufficient supply.
The ministry will coordinate with relevant ministries and agencies to address difficulties relating to the exploitation and supply of construction materials and change of land use purposes during project implementation.
Prime Minister Chinh also directed the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment to review mines and grant licenses for the exploitation of new mines to supply construction materials for projects.
