Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has urged relevant ministries, agencies, and localities to address bottlenecks and accelerate investment procedures to speed up the implementation of key national railway projects.

Chairing the fourth meeting of the Steering Committee for Key National Railway Projects in Hanoi on October 23, the Prime Minister called for the mobilization of maximum resources, particularly skilled and highly responsible personnel, to lead and oversee the projects’ implementation.

He stressed the urgent need for ministries and sectors to finalize and issue technical standards for high-speed, standard-gauge, and urban railways, as well as to develop criteria for investor selection and investment models to attract both domestic and foreign capital.

The Prime Minister also requested faster land clearance and the development of resettlement areas for affected households, along with the prompt allocation of financial and material resources to ensure project progress.

Under the Prime Minister's directive, efforts must be accelerated to ensure the Lao Cai – Hanoi – Hai Phong standard-gauge railway project starts on schedule, on December 19.
