Central Quang Nam province targets posting annual GRDP growth of over 8 per cent during the 2021-2030 period under its master plan for the period and vision to 2050.
The plan has been given the green light by the government.
Average annual per capita GRDP is expected to reach over $7,500.
The local digital economy is predicted to contribute 30 per cent to GRDP.
A target is set of increasing workplace productivity by 6.5-7 per cent each year.
Under its plan, Quang Nam will strive to increase export and import revenue by over 15 per cent annually and attract more than 15 million tourists, including 8 million foreign visitors, by 2030.
The province will promote economic restructuring in connection with renewing the growth model and improving productivity as well as quality and efficiency in its economy, while working to more deeply join global production networks and value chains.
It will focus on developing sectors such as automobiles, agriculture, pharmaceutical processing, mining, and tourism.
The general goal is to develop into an important growth pole of the central and central highlands regions by 2030 with modern and comprehensive infrastructure.
