Northern Quang Ninh province plans to invest in building 25,000 social houses by 2030, 40 per cent higher than its assigned quota, according to local authorities.
Under the master plan on building at least a million social houses for low-income earners and workers at industrial parks in the 2021-2030 period, the Prime Minister assigned Quang Ninh to build 18,000 houses by 2030. Of these, 8,200 houses are to be completed in the 2021-2025 period.
By the end of 2023, the province will put into use 1,600 apartments in social housing projects for workers and low-income earners. It is accelerating construction of three social housing projects to fulfill the annual target.
The province is also preparing the land fund to invest in building ten other social housing projects this year.
