As of the end of 2024, the People's Committee of southern Dong Nai province has successfully disbursed over VND18.2 trillion (approximately $724 million) allocated for land acquisition, compensation, support, and resettlement for Long Thanh International Airport project.

This achievement marks nearly 95% of the planned target.

However, around VND1 trillion (nearly $40 million) remains undisbursed. This unspent amount includes over VND209 billion ($8.3 million) designated for land clearance, more than VND361 billion ($14.4 million) for the construction of technical infrastructure in the Loc An - Binh Son Resettlement Area, and over VND78 billion ($3.1 million) for social infrastructure in the same area.

Additionally, over VND52 billion ($2 million) is allocated for the re-establishment of infrastructure outside the airport fence, while nearly VND306 billion ($12.2 million) is earmarked for vocational training, employment, and the reorganization of life for people in the project area.

The Long Thanh Airport land acquisition project, approved by the National Assembly in 2017, initially had a total investment of nearly VND23 trillion (approximately $916 million). The provincial People's Committee was assigned as the project investor.

During implementation, due to the reduction of some project items, the National Assembly approved a policy adjustment, reducing the total investment to over VND19.2 trillion ($763 million).
