Rest stops along North-South expressway built in Thanh Hoa

The Vietnam Department of Expressways under the Ministry of Transport has approved a project building a rest stop along the Eastern North-South Expressway section running through central Thanh Hoa province.

The project will cover 11.7 ha in Tinh Gia district's Nghi Son town.

Total investment capital is estimated at VND325.7 billion ($12.8 million). Of which, VND315.6 billion will be used for construction of the project and the rest will be earmarked for compensation and resettlement for affected households.

Construction is expected to last 15 months.

According to initial surveys, the Eastern North-South Expressway, with total length of more than 2,150 km, running from northern Lang Son province to the Mekong Delta’s Ca Mau province, will have 37 rest stops.
