Authorities of central Thanh Hoa province on July 24 granted an investment registration certificate to Stavian Recycling JSC to build Stavian Plastic Recycling Complex at Nghi Son Economic Zone.

The complex will be located at the Nghi Son Economic Zone’s industrial park, one of key industrial hubs in north central Vietnam.

The project will be equipped with state-of-the-art, environmentally friendly, energy- and water-efficient technologies, and will be highly automated to meet the strictest global environmental and quality standards set by leading FMCG brands in the US and Europe.

In its first phase, the project has a designed capacity of 17,000 tons per year, focusing on recycling post-consumer PET bottles into high-quality rPET resins that meet food-grade standards.

Construction of the complex is scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2025 and start operations in the first quarter of 2027.
