The aviation sector has also facilitated the addition of 19 aircraft compared to the same period last year, bringing the total operating fleet during the Tet peak to approximately 216–218 planes.

During the 9-month period of 2025, Vietnamese airlines maintained a significant share, carrying nearly 44 million passengers, up over 8%, and more than 343,000 tons of cargo, an increase of over 5% compared to the same period last year.

Under the proposed plan, Chu Lai is projected to handle up to 30 million passengers annually by 2050.
