Cat Bi International Airport upgrading

Due to overloading of main construction items and impressive growth in passenger volume, especially international passengers, Cat Bi International Airport in Hai Phong is expected to increase its capacity to 18-20 million passengers per year. In the future, Cat Bi International Airport will welcome a wave of international airlines opening new routes to Hai Phong and traditional airlines to expand their networks and increase flight frequency.

Hai Phong keen to build Nguyen Trai Bridge

Northern Hai Phong city is striving to begin construction of the 1.5-km Nguyen Trai Bridge across the Cam River this year, with investment of more than VND5.3 trillion ($226 million) from the city budget. The bridge will link Cat Bi International Airport with the northern reaches of the city, and as a special-class urban traffic work will have an influence on the city’s socio-economic development.
