According to figures from the General Department of Vietnam Customs, imports and exports totaled $176.75 billion in the first quarter of 2022, up 14.3 per cent year-on-year, of which exports were $89.1 billion, up 13.4 per cent, and imports $87.64 billion, up 15.2 per cent. Vietnam therefore posted a trade surplus of $1.46 billion.
