Over 800 livestreams labelled ‘OCOP Marketplace’ have been held since April, fetching revenue of more than $4 million from sales in the ‘One commune, One product’ program.
According to Tech in Asia, the level of technology adoption in agriculture is still low in Vietnam because of a lack of capital. Only a few startups have raised capital externally.
As of the end of 2021, just 8 per cent of cooperatives around Vietnam had applied high technology and digital technology in production. The problem is that investing in high-tech agriculture is still risky because it requires a lot of funds but does not guarantee immediate success if there is a lack of staff and a weak distribution network.
