The Phu Yen Provincial People’s Committee has given the green light to projects building two urban areas with total investment of over VND2 trillion ($85 million).
The Dong Hoa Vinh urban area will cover 29.6 ha in Dong Hoa commune in the south-central province. Construction is estimated to take four years, with investment of more than VND1.6 trillion ($68 million). It will accommodate some 2,900 people.
The other urban area is to be built on nearly 18,500 sq m and house 750 people. Total investment is VND443 billion ($18.7 million), and construction is expected to take three years.
Phu Yen will build around 559 housing projects in the 2021-2025 period, including 513 commercial housing projects, 18 social housing projects, and 28 resettlement areas. The total land area needed is estimated at more than 796,000 ha.
