According to the Hanoi Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, the city has created more than 153,000 jobs since the beginning of the year, reaching 96 per cent of the annual plan and up 33.7 per cent against the same period of 2021.
Nearly 119,000 jobs were created in Hanoi in the first half of 2022, representing 74.3 per cent of the annual plan and up 21.4 per cent year-on-year. In the second half of the year, the capital will continue to implement policies to support workers both in terms of loans as well as training to foster and improve vocational skills.
Hanoi created 96,900 jobs in the first five months of this year, reaching 60.6 per cent of the annual plan and up 21.5 per cent year-on-year. It also paid unemployment insurance to more than 21,200 people, with a budget of over VND575 billion ($24.77 million).
