The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam has released a report on adjusting planning for Lien Khuong Airport in the central highlands’ Lam Dong province’s Da Lat city to 2030 and vision to 2050. It will become an international airport by 2030, with a new T2 terminal built that is capable of handling 5 million passengers a year as well as additional flights.
On July 22, the Lac Duong District People’s Committee forwarded Report No. 104 to the Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee requesting appraisal and approval of tasks and cost estimates for the Da Sar - Da Nhim eco-tourism and luxury resort project in the central highlands’ province. The resort is to be built on an area of 467.56 hectares.
The Dau Giay - Lien Khuong Expressway stretches 220 km and connects southern Dong Nai province and the central highlands’ Lam Dong province, playing an important role in socioeconomic development in Lam Dong and the wider central highlands region. The Ministry of Transport and Lam Dong province are therefore moving to complete procedures and soon begin construction of two component projects, the Dau Giay - Tan Phu and Tan Phu - Bao Loc sections, with total investment of more than VND24.5 trillion ($1.05 billion) in the public-private partnership (PPP) form.
The Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee has sent an official letter to the Prime Minister seeking his approval of the Tan Phu - Bao Loc Expressway project. The route stretches 66 km and has total investment of more than VND16 trillion ($688.12 million) under the public-private partnership (PPP) form.
