Vietnam SuperPort™, Vietnam Post and Visa launch digital logistics marketplace, offering SMEs integrated solutions in logistics, finance, payments and trade.
Digital payments are growing in popularity among consumers in Vietnam, with wider use of online cards, mobile wallets, and QR payments last year compared to 2021, a Visa study has found.
Vietnam welcomed 71.8 million visitors in the first seven months of 2022, exceeding the annual target. There were only 954,600 international arrivals, however, or just 15 per cent of the targeted 5 million for the year. One solution to increase international tourist numbers is to apply multiple entry and exit visas valid for 30 days, instead of 15 days as currently.
VNPAY and Visa announced on February 23 the signing of a strategic cooperation agreement that will accelerate the process of digital transformation and cashless payments in Vietnam. VNPAY currently has a network of 200,000 payment acceptance points nationwide. In particular, VNPAY-QR solutions have been applied at 33 banks and in eight e-wallets, with more than 25 million users.
