Vietnam’s Dai Phong Infrastructure Construction Company and the JiaWei Corporation from Taiwan (China) have signed an agreement to develop a project in northern Nam Dinh province, the Government News has reported.

The JiaWei Corporation will invest $100 million in the Dai Phong Company’s My Thuan Industrial Park on a total area of over 85,700 sq m.

With construction slated to be completed by the end of 2024, the plant is set to design and manufacture products from environmentally-friendly materials and create some 1,000 jobs in the first phase.

Speaking at the signing ceremony on August 14, Chairman of the Nam Dinh Provincial People’s Committee Pham Dinh Nghi affirmed that the project marks the continuation of positive results in local investment attraction efforts, especially regarding the high-tech and environmentally-friendly sectors.

He added that the province has pledged to create the most favorable conditions for investors and will help them deal with any difficulties and obstacles involving legal procedures during construction, operations, and management.
