The 2023 Tech4life Expo & Summit opened in Ho Chi Minh City on October 4, introducing the latest technological products and solutions to promote digital transformation in business and among the popular.
The two-day event, with the theme “Enhance life with technology”, focuses on smart business administration, smart mobility, smart houses, education in the digital environment, logistics, and healthcare technology.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Information and Communications Lam Dinh Thang said the southern city has promoted digital transformation in the three key areas of digital government, digital economy, and digital society.
It targets becoming a smart city by 2030, he said.
According to the White Book on Vietnamese E-Business, released by the Ministry of Planning and Investment in 2022, the country had around 867,500 businesses as of 2021, including 268,400 in Ho Chi Minh City, accounting for 31.3 per cent of the country’s total, with 7,000 being information and communications enterprises.
