There will be many new “technology villages” at TECHFEST VIETNAM 2021 on economic development trends in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic.

TECHFEST VIETNAM 2021 will feature an open innovation platform led by a network of experts and volunteer mentors of technology villages. Many technology corporations will also accompany startups through the platform to resolve internal problems. New technology villages will be established according to the development of technology in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic.

According to Mr. Pham Hong Quat, Head of the General Department of the National Agency for Technology Entrepreneurship and Commercialization Development (NATEC), in addition to technology villages from previous years, TECHFEST VIETNAM 2021 has new ones that follow economic development trends, such as the Cybersecurity Village, the Social Challenge and Creativity Village, the Entertainment and Media Technology Village, the Logistic Technology Village, the Technology Platforms and Infrastructure Village, and the Innovation Enterprise Village.

The Smart City Technology Village, meanwhile, will exhibit digital real estate technology, while Health Technology Village displays innovative healthcare solutions. The Agricultural Technology Village, the Tourism and Food Technology Village, and the Local Village are merged into the Indigenous Agriculture, Food and Tourism Technology Village this year.
Moreover, it is expected that technology village heads and co-heads will join hands to build a national innovation startup network with the presence of more technology corporations, which can also provide mentoring, data, capital, and networks to support startups with a global vision. The program is also hoped to tighten the borderless links between Vietnamese people, Vietnamese wisdom, and Vietnamese aspirations.
