Thanh Hoa boosts investment, trade, and tourism promotion in Russia

More than 100 Russian enterprises, along with representatives from various Russian localities and businesses from central Vietnam's Thanh Hoa province, gathered in Moscow on November 20 for a conference promoting investment, trade, and tourism in the province, according to a report from the online newspaper of Radio the Voice of Vietnam.

At the conference, Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia Dang Minh Khoi emphasized that boosting economic cooperation, providing market information, and connecting businesses of the two nations are among the top priorities to promote the potential economic ties between the two countries. In the first 10 months of this year, bilateral trade turnover between Vietnam and Russia reached approximately $4 billion, an increase of 3% compared to the same period last year.

Russian enterprises and investors, for their part, expressed their interest and desire to explore opportunities for investment, trade, and tourism cooperation in Thanh Hoa.

Speaking at the conference, a leader of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry affirmed that bilateral trade turnover has seen continuous growth in 2024 and 2025, and that the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry always strives to boost cooperation with Vietnamese localities.

"I believe that organizing this conference is very important; it is a good opportunity for Russian enterprises to familiarize themselves with Vietnam's potential, thereby boosting investment. This is also an opportunity for Russian businesses to get acquainted with Thanh Hoa province's products," said the representative of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Addressing the conference, Secretary of the Thanh Hoa Party Committee Nguyen Doan Anh analyzed the potential and advantages regarding investment, tourism, and trade development of the province.

"We are listening to our Russian partners to understand their cooperation needs so as to create a bridge promoting long-term, effective, and substantive cooperation, especially in fields where both sides have strengths to support each other, such as the energy industry, oil and gas, seaports, manufacturing and processing, trade, and tourism," said Mr. Anh.
