Authorities in central Thanh Hoa province are considering the construction of Eastern Ring Road No. 3 with estimated investment of VND9.75 trillion ($397 million), according to the Thanh Hoa Department of Transport.
Of the capital, VND2 trillion ($83 million) will come from the State budget while VND4.750 trillion ($193.8 million) will be sourced from the city’s public investment capital.
The 15.4-km project will connect Hoang Hoa and Quang Xuong districts.
It is aimed at expanding the development space in the east of the city and completing the local transport network under its master planning.
The project is also expected to help ease traffic pressure on National Highway No. 1 as it passes through Thanh Hoa city, the province's capital.
Construction is scheduled for 2024-2030.
