Central Thanh Hoa province has witnessed a significant recovery from trade activities in the first six months of 2024.
The province earned over $2.8 billion from exports in the first half of the year, up 21.8% year-on-year, according to the provincial Department of Customs.
The figure is equivalent to 48% of the yearly plan.
Key export products include garments and textiles, footwear, wood products, cement and seafood. They all have stable export orders since the early year.
Exports of footwear recorded a year-on-year growth of 37.9%; garments and textiles, 14.5%; and cement, 49.4%.
Meanwhile, the province’s import turnover totaled nearly $5.2 billion during the six-month period, up 23.4% year-on-year.
