The Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee has demanded that public capital be disbursed faster this year to promote growth in the north-central province.

For projects granted time extensions on capital disbursement and implementation from 2022 to 2023, 60 per cent of capital must be disbursed before June 30 and 100 per cent before September 30.

All projects are required to complete their public capital disbursement plan for 2023 before November 30.

The north-central province’s total public capital investment estimate for 2023 is over VND12.5 trillion ($529 million).

Local authorities inspected and identified many projects last year that failed to meet public capital disbursement requirements or violated investment regulations.
