Thanh Hoa targets GRDP per capita of $4,200 by 2025

North-central Thanh Hoa province has set a target of posting per capita gross regional domestic product (GRDP) of $4,200 by 2025 and over $7,800 by 2030.

The goal was set in the province’s master planning for the 2021-2030 period, which was recently approved by the government.

Average GRDP growth is expected to reach 10.1 per cent during the period.

Thanh Hoa posted GRDP growth of 12.51 per cent last year, ranking it seventh nationwide, and raised its GRDP per capita to $2,925.

By 2030, it is to become a major center for heavy industry, energy, manufacturing and processing, agriculture, logistics, tourism, education and training, and healthcare in the northern region and the country as a whole. The province plans to have 115 industrial parks on a total area of over 5,267 ha.

It is also targeting becoming a modern and comprehensively developed locality by 2045.
