North-central Thanh Hoa province has kicked off a project clearing land for industrial parks within the Nghi Son Economic Zone, with an estimated cost of over VND11.3 trillion ($472 million), to draw in more FDI.

The Nghi Son Economic Zone currently accommodates 25 industrial parks on a total area of over 9,000 ha.

Priority will be given to site clearance for industrial parks No. 6, 20, and 21, which are three key sites drawing major attention from investors. They have a total area of nearly 1,600 ha, with important positions expected to attract investors to develop the economic zone further and boost socio-economic development in the province.

Funds will also be used to build resettlement areas.
