Tax authority of Thanh Hoa province in central Vietnam has publicly released a list of 205 tax debtors in two public disclosures announced in October, with total tax debt standing at nearly VND400 billion (approximately $15 million).

Companies with large debts primarily operate in the construction, real estate, building materials, and mining sectors.

The total tax debt of the top 10 leading enterprises accounts for approximately 75% of the total listed amount.

In addition to the group of large enterprises, many small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are also named on the list with debts under VND2 billion ($75,860).

The Thanh Hoa provincial tax authority stated that the public disclosure of the list is the first step in the tax debt resolution process and a measure to enhance transparency in management. Following the disclosure, the tax authority will continue to coordinate with relevant units to implement coercive measures when necessary to recover outstanding debts, ensure state budget revenue, and uphold fairness in tax obligations for businesses.
