The EAI Smart Life Summit 2024 officially launched in Da Nang City on October 22.

This hybrid event, featuring both in-person and online participation from Vietnam and worldwide, kicked off with the inaugural International Conference on Responsible Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (RAIDS) and the 11th EAI International Conference on Mobility, IoT, and Smart Cities (Mobility IoT 2024).

Co-organized by the International Institute of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (IAD) at Dong A University and the European Alliance for Innovation (EAI), the summit aimed to foster collaboration between academia, industry, and society to ensure AI is applied ethically and beneficially.

A key highlight was the establishment of the International Chair in DS&XAI – "International Cooperation Chair in Data Science and Explainable Artificial Intelligence" at Dong A University, a joint initiative with Gemtex-Ensait, University of Lille, France.

In his opening remarks, Associate Professor Dr. Dinh Thanh Viet, Vice Rector of Dong A University, emphasized the conference's role in bridging the gap between academia and industry, ensuring AI is applied responsibly and effectively to address global challenges.

The 2-day conference featured presentations from experts in AI and IoT from seven countries: France, the UK, Germany, the US, Canada, China, and Vietnam. Participants included scholars from research institutes, university faculty, and students from AI and Data Science departments.

The  conference explored the latest trends, research, and applications of AI and IoT across various fields. Through in-depth discussions and presentations, participants aimed to provide guidance for the sustainable development of AI.
