Chairman of the Thua Thien-Hue Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Phuong has asked relevant departments and agencies to adopt measures to address the obstacles and speed up the disbursement of public investment capital for 2023.

Investors in the central province are required to register and sign commitments to ensure project progress and report to authorities on implementation progress at each project, especially key projects in socio-economic development.

New projects or contract packages allocated public investment capital in 2023 are required to disburse at last 70 per cent before September 30 and 100 per cent by December 21.

Thua Thien-Hue has more than VND5.75 trillion ($243 million) in public investment capital from the central budget for 2023 and VND110 billion ($4.66 million) from the local budget, with the total of $247.66 million being 37 per cent higher year-on-year.
