Two main sections of Nhon Trach bridge, which links Ho Chi Minh City with southern Dong Nai province, were connected on September 12.
This is the biggest bridge of the sub-project 1A of the Ring Road No.3 project of Ho Chi Minh City.
The bridge, whose contractor is South Korea’s Kumho E&C, was designed to be 2.6 km long.
Construction of the bridge kicked off in September 2022. So far, over 83% of the work has been completed, four months ahead of scheduled.
The bridge is expected to complete and open to traffic from April 30, 2025.
The sub-project 1A consists of the construction of the bridge and two approach roads. It has a total investment capital of nearly VND7 trillion (over $281.5 million).
The two approach roads to the bridge have total length of 5.6 km. Some 45% of construction work has been completed.
