With its strategic location along major international maritime and air routes, a 3,260-kilometer coastline, and a comprehensive network of seaports, airports, and border gates, Vietnam has all the conditions to become a key logistics hub in the region, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said.

Speaking at the 2025 FIATA World Coỏngess 2025 — the largest annual event of the global logistics industry — which officially opened in Hanoi on October 8, PM Chinh emphasized that logistics is one of Vietnam’s three main growth drivers and a foundation for linking local production sectors, cities, provinces, and the nation with global markets.

He noted that the country has been implementing synchronized and comprehensive measures to develop its logistics industry, including large-scale investments in strategic logistics and transport infrastructure across all five modes: road, rail, air, sea, and inland waterways.

Vietnam is committed to ensuring favorable conditions for domestic and foreign logistics investors, safeguarding their legitimate rights and interests, and maintaining political stability, social order, and a transparent, safe investment environment, the Prime Minister affirmed.

The Government will also continue to refine institutions, mechanisms, and policies to foster public–private partnerships and multilateral cooperation in the sector.

The International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA) represents freight forwarding companies from around 150 countries and territories. The 2025 congress, held in Hanoi from October 6–10, features a series of discussions on logistics and transport trends, drawing more than 1,000 delegates from over 100 countries.
