Vietnam Airlines held a working session with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) on March 28 to exchange information and enhance cooperation with ambassadors and heads of Vietnam’s representative agencies abroad.
Attending the meeting were Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang, 15 ambassadors and heads of Vietnam’s representative agencies abroad in the 2023-2026 term, leaders of Vietnam Airlines, and representatives of relevant units.
Vietnam Airlines presented its development plans for foreign markets and global commercial promotion programs to the ambassadors and heads of representative agencies, and proposed further coordination between itself and diplomatic agencies abroad to benefit the country’s interests and its business community.
Deputy Minister Hang said the meeting presents an opportunity for ambassadors and consuls general to understand the situation and needs in the country, establish channels for exchanging information, and build economic diplomacy plans for implementation during the term.
She also emphasized the close relationship between diplomacy and aviation, which reinforce and support each other. To help the aviation industry’s rapid and sustainable recovery and development, MoFA will accompany Vietnam Airlines in organizing promotional activities, tourism, investment, and trade measures, mobilizing resources to serve the country’s development, supporting businesses in expanding markets and routes, and enhancing cooperation with new partners.
MoFA has evaluated Vietnam Airlines’ proposals and will work closely with ambassadors and heads of representative agencies to organize effective coordination with the carrier in the future.
The national flag carrier has effectively cooperated with MoFA for many years, especially in cultural, tourism, and aviation events both domestically and internationally, as well as in activities supporting citizens, travelers, and relief and aid transport, both at home and abroad.
