Vietnam is committed to facilitating foreign investors and creating a transparent and equal investment environment for businesses, including Japanese enterprises, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh told a meeting with leaders of some of Japan’s leading corporations on November 23 during his official visit to Japan.

He affirmed that Vietnam is committed to implementing procedures as quickly as possible for investors, negotiating prices under market mechanisms and local regulations. The government will immediately address problems within its competence and directly discuss with ministers to seek solutions. “Problems at any level must be solved at that level, and if they cannot be solved, you can directly send a letter to the Prime Minister”, the Prime Minister said.

He also suggested that foreign businesses directly contact ministers when they encounter any difficulties. Many fields with great potential are being prioritized by Vietnam, including renewable energy, sustainable development, climate change response, digital transformation, innovation, and human resource training, so relevant ministries and branches have been assigned to facilitate the production and business activities of Japanese businesses.

Major Japanese corporations such as Fast Retailing, Sojitz, Mitsui, and ENEOS spoke about the implementation of projects in Vietnam. The country will create conditions for all businesses to develop sustainably.
