Vietnam Social Security (VSS) and the France-Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIFV) have recently signed an MoU on strategic cooperation to contribute to the development of medical and pharmaceutical networks in the two countries to better care for people’s health.

The two sides will share information and experience on measures to increase income sources for health insurance funds and implement supplementary health insurance packages, while supporting each other in enhancing capacity in medical technology assessment for compiling a list of drugs, medical supplies, and technical services covered by health insurance funds.

They will also work on communications to raise awareness in the community and among medical staff about the safe, reasonable, and effective use of drugs, ensuring the effective utilization of health insurance funds and guaranteeing patients’ rights.
