Vietnam-Japan trade promotion center launched in Hanoi

The Vietnam-Japan Trade Promotion Center and the Vietnam-Japan Entrepreneurs Club were launched in Hanoi on July 3 by the Association for Liaison with Overseas Vietnamese (ALOV).

They will strengthen connection and organize trade exchange activities between businesses and localities of the two countries, according to  Ambassador Nguyen Phu Binh, Chairman of the ALOV

They are also aimed at promoting resources of the Vietnamese community abroad, including nearly 600,000 Vietnamese nationals in Japan, he said.

The Vietnam-Japan relations have developed rapidly, firmly, effectively and comprehensively in all fields over the past 50 years, particularly in the field of economy, he added.

The two-way trade turnover between the two countries reached $21.7 billion in the first six months of the year. Japan invested $979 million in Vietnam in the period.
