The Vietnam Data Expert Network (VDEN) was officially launched on October 16 in central Hue city with the aim of bringing together Vietnamese data specialists from both within the country and abroad to promote the development of the data economy and advance national digital transformation.

VDEN operates on five core principles: voluntarism and collaboration; transparency and accountability; scientific integrity and quality; security and respect for privacy; and global connectivity with a distinct Vietnamese identity.

Aiming to serve as a “data bridge” for Vietnamese professionals worldwide, the network fosters knowledge sharing, experience exchange, and innovative initiatives to help build a self-reliant, creative, and globally integrated data economy.

Many countries worldwide have established their data experts networks, including the US, Singapore, and the Republic of Korea.
