Among the more than 146,000 labor exports in the first eleven months of this year, over 74,000 went to Japan, which is currently the leading overseas market receiving guest workers from Vietnam.
Vietnam currently ranks first among 15 countries and territories exporting workers to Japan in terms of the number sent annually and the total number, which has now reached 500,000.
According to figures from the Department of Overseas Labor at the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, more than 13,500 workers were sent abroad in November, including 6,804 to Japan, 3,907 to Taiwan (China), 1,857 to South Korea, 222 to Hungary, and 121 to Singapore, while others went to Poland, Hong Kong (China), and Malaysia.
The total number of labor exports in the first eleven is equal to 121.8 per cent of the annual plan.
