Vietnam’s export revenue is to increase 6 per cent year-on-year in 2024 under a target set by the Ministry of Industry and Trade’s Import-Export Department.
The Department said it is necessary to support businesses to tap opportunities from free trade agreements and provide market information to localities, industry associations, and businesses to boost exports.
Businesses and localities will receive assistance from the Department to conduct trade promotions in target markets and enhance negotiations and the signing of new agreements, commitments, and links.
The Department will also focus on implementing strategies and action programs to grow exports and develop logistics services.
Exports in 2023 were estimated at $354-355 billion, down 4.5 per cent year-on-year.
