The government has assigned the animal husbandry sector to build at least eight farms meeting international food safety standards from the World Organization for Animal Health in order to promote exports of meat and livestock products by 2030.
This is part of a national program issued by the government on the implementation of key tasks to strengthen capacity to manage and control animal disease and ensure the safety of animal products in the 2023-2030 period.
The program set an overall goal of building farms free from disease for poultry and animals as well as ensuring food safety and hygiene in farming, transport, processing, and trading of livestock products for domestic consumption and exports.
Vietnam will strive to export processed chicken products to various markets, including Japan, Hong Kong (China), South Korea, Singapore, the UK, the EU, and China.
Meanwhile, eggs and egg products will be exported to Hong Kong (China), Singapore, Japan, Taiwan (China), Australia, the US and South Korea.
