The 31st Asia Securities Forum Annual General Meeting (ASF AGM 2026) is scheduled to take place in Hanoi from September 30 to October 3, bringing together securities associations, financial institutions and market participants from across the Asia-Pacific region.

A highlight of the event will be the forum “Investing in Vietnam – Rising in the New Era,” which will examine Vietnam’s investment prospects, capital mobilisation strategies and the conditions needed to attract long-term international capital. The dedicated session is scheduled for October 2.

Vietnam is hosting the ASF annual meeting for the first time, providing an opportunity for international financial institutions, securities associations and investors to learn more about developments in the country’s capital market and exchange experience on stock and bond markets, sustainable finance, ESG, digital transformation and artificial intelligence.

The meeting comes shortly after FTSE Russell officially reclassified Vietnam from Frontier to Secondary Emerging Market status, effective on September 21, 2026. The upgrade follows reforms to market infrastructure, including measures to facilitate access for foreign institutional investors.

Vietnam’s hosting of ASF AGM 2026 also aligns with the country’s securities market development strategy through 2030, as the market seeks to strengthen international connectivity and expand channels for capital mobilisation.
