Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh suggested that the two sides maintain high-level exchanges, consolidate political trust; promote coordination mechanisms and strategic exchanges between the two countries; and raise the level of defence and security cooperation pillars.

Vietnam's key export products to China include agricultural produce (rice, coffee, cashews, fruits), seafood, electronic components, textiles, rubber, and crude oil.

Ample room remains for cooperation between the two countries in new energy development and innovation.

The 3rd AZEC Summit Joint Statement adopted, welcoming the progress made since the 2nd AZEC Summit and emphasized the need to accelerate actions in this crucial decade.

The two sides should intensify cooperation in digital transformation, innovation, and energy security, including energy infrastructure connectivity and peaceful nuclear energy cooperation.

According to statistics from Enterprise Singapore, Vietnam is currently the third largest rice supplier to Singapore, after India and Thailand.
