According to Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh, 50 per cent of the post-Covid-19 economic recovery budget will be prioritized for developing transport infrastructure in 2022. The construction of 12 sections of the East North-South Expressway, second phase, must begin next year.

Commenting on a revised draft Land Law, localities still have different opinions on factors relating to the rights and responsibilities of land owner representatives and the responsibility of State management over land, land use planning, land recovery, compensation, and price determination.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended a breaking ground ceremony for two key transport infrastructure projects in northern Hung Yen province costing VND4.4 trillion ($192 million) on December 23. The projects will connect Hung Yen with Hanoi and other localities in the Northern Key Economic Region and contribute to it becoming a modern industrial province.
