Having identified tourism as a key economic sector and one of three pillars of development, central Da Nang city has issued a plan to restore tourism activities and welcome inter-regional and international visitors from November.

Solutions to strictly manage forest land are needed, Chairman of the National Assembly’s Economic Committee Vu Hong Thanh emphasized at the National Assembly on October 29 while proposing amendments to national land use plans and stricter management of forest land, as illegal deforestation, exploitation, and use of forest land have taken place in many localities over recent years.

Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung, authorized by the Prime Minister, presented a plan on restructuring the economy in the 2021-2025 period to the National Assembly (NA) on October 29, saying it will accelerate the recovery process and create breakthroughs. It proposes five groups of tasks and solutions and 130 specific tasks.

In a document issued by the Office of the Government, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh requested that relevant ministries accelerate the application of “vaccine passports” on a uniform template in both physical and electronic form.

Cambodia presented 200,000 doses of Sinopham’s Vero Cell vaccine to Vietnam as a gift on October 29 at the Moc Bai International Border Gate linking Tay Ninh and Svay Rieng provinces. Since the outbreak of Covid-19, the two countries have coordinated closely and offered each other timely support in pandemic prevention.

At the Country Strategy Dialogue on Vietnam 2021 co-hosted by Vietnam and the World Economic Forum (WEF) on October 29, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed six important policy orientations of the country in the time to come. He also called on investors to coordinate in implementing the policy for safe production recovery, and to invest in fields where Vietnam is giving priority and offering special incentives.
