General Secretary and President Lam stressed that looking back over the past 55 years, from standing together through difficult times, Vietnam and Denmark have built deep mutual trust, paving the way for a new horizon of cooperation.

The top Vietnamese leader’s visit to Denmark is expected to strengthen political trust, set long-term cooperation priorities and further deepen bilateral relations. It also offers an opportunity to promote economic, trade and investment ties, as well as cooperation in science-technology and innovation, in line with the development priorities and needs of both countries.

The government is conducting comprehensive reviews across real estate, land management, petroleum, electricity, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and agriculture to eliminate unwarranted markups, cut intermediary layers, and raise regulatory oversight efficiency.

At their talks in Hanoi on October 18, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung and his Liechtenstein counterpart Brigitte Haas pledged to step up cooperation, tap opportunities from new agreements.

The event took place shortly after the signing of the Free Trade Agreement between Vietnam and the European Free Trade Association (EFTA), which comprises Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland.

Prime Minister Brigitte Haas is the first leader of Liechtenstein to visit Vietnam since the two countries established diplomatic relations in 2008.
